HunterLab — the best color measurement solution for the Cosmetics Industry

How do you measure the color of a cosmetic product?

You read L a b values on a spectrophotometer and compare them to a standard using Delta E.

Opaque products go on ColorFlex L2: pressed powder, blush, bronzer, foundation, lipstick, nail polish, creams. Sample cup on the port, press Measure, read the screen.

No PC. For coverage, draw down on a Leneta card and read the opacity index from the same workspace.

Transparent products go on Vista L2: toners, micellar water, serums, oils, fragrance. Color and haze in one read, pathlengths up to 100 millimeters.

Numbers flag drift early, before off-shade product reaches the shelf.
